Diagnosis

 

Dr. Varblow can assist with the diagnostic process for families who have concerns about ADHD but who have not yet received a formal evaluation.  She will interview the family extensively, to review the symptom patterns and history.  She may conduct an in-school observation of a child, discuss symptoms with teachers, meet and assess the child directly, and provide detailed questionnaires to family and/or teachers.  In addition, Dr. Varblow reviews recent report cards, medical records, prior testing and evaluation reports, IEP or 504 plans, samples of school work, and any other relevant data, as needed, to help her understand the strengths and challenges of an individual child.
